So, Um, What’s Up With That Jockstrap-Sniffing Boy In the Gain Commercial?

I might be a little late to the party on this one, but WHATWHATWAT IS GOING ON at the Gain detergent headquarters that they greenlit this incredibly bizarre commercial? In it, a slumbering dad is pranked by his two kids who dig a jockstrap out of the laundry and place it on his face. But instead of being offended by the smell of sweaty old balls, the father smiles and cuddles up to it, because… it’s been washed with Gain, see. The young boys then decide to sniff the jockstrap as well, and by this point you’re head is probably exploding because OMG, REALLY? I mean, I love sniffing a jockstrap as much as the next queen, but it seems an incredibly odd choice for a national ad campaign.

I’m not alone in this. Twitter has been having a field day.

Anyone else seen that Gain commercial where the young boys put a jock strap on their dads face while he’s sleeping in the hopes that it’ll repulse him, but he likes it?
