SNL, of course, brought out Trump (Alec Baldwin) in a cold open that spoofed Deal or No Deal. Host Steve Harvey (Kenan Thompson) taking over for Howie Mandel, explained that a TV game show was the only way Trump could understand how it worked and introduced 10 Congressmen and women holding briefcases with potential deals for Trump to end the month-long shutdown.
He rejects all offers from the likes of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (Kate McKinnon) drunk on power, potential caver Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (Alex Moffat), Maxine Waters (Leslie Jones) who shut Trump down with a tax audit threat, and of course, freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Melissa Villaseñor).
Trump shoots them all down –except one juicy offer he just can’t resist.
