For the third week in a row, Saturday Night Live devoted significant time to Kanye West, opening the third episode of its 44th season with a re-enactment of the his bizarre speech at the White House. This week’s host, and former SNL head writer, Seth Meyers after manning Late Night for 5 years was totally ease is front of the live audience… and it was Kanye who dominated his monologue.
America (and myself) was shocked to hear that when Kanye was first on SNL as musical guest, he wanted to be in a sketch too. It was suggested that he be in one where he interrupts people getting awards and he said,
“That’s great. “cause I do that…“
And so he was in that sketch. Except that this was TWO YEARS BEFORE the infamous Taylor Swift interruption. YEEZUS CHRIST!
