The legendary Molly Shannon returned to Studio 8H for her second time hosting SNL.
Shannon brought back her beloved character Sally O’Malley, the sassy dancer first introduced to the show in 1999 in a sketch where she auditioned for The Rockettes with her catchphrase,
I’m 50! I love to kick and stretch and kick!
50!”
Sally gets hired as as a new choreographer for the Jonas Brothers. Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas are dressed ins matching red pantsuits to perform Sally’s signature move.
20 years have passed, but she’s still the same age, but Shannon addressed this by telling Bowen Yang,
Honey, I’ve been 50 since before you were born.”
Watch.
Note: Shannon is well past 50 now, she is 58 and her star is still shining. She’s currently in director Zach Braff’s A Good Person, out now and she’ll appear in Season 3 of HBO‘s The Other Two, out on May 4.
