SNL said goodbye to its 47th season and some beloved cast members…
Kate McKinnon has played everyone from Rudy Giuliani to Kellyanne Conway, Ellen Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Ellen, Justin Bieber, Elizabeth Warren, Hillary Clinton, Jeff Sessions and Amy Coney Barrett.
But the cold open brought back her kooky Miss Rafferty, a recurring character that’s an alien abductee, who explains what happened to her agents played by Aidy Bryant and Mikey Day. They told her that she must now go with the aliens.
McKinnon then stands at spaceship entrance and says,
Well, Earth, I love you, thanks for letting me stay awhile…
Live… from New York. It’s Saturday night!”

Pete Davidson got to say farewell in a spot on Weekend Update.
Davidson joined the show 14 at just 20 and was the star and organizer of music videos, played super slacker Chad to a host of admirers including RuPaul. He’s been honest about his personal life on the show, including his battles with mental health.
He met and fell in love with a guest host on the show. You might have heard of her..? On Update he said,
Before the show, Davidson gave a farewell on Instagram with video from just after his first appearance on the show writing that he,
got to share so much with this audience… literally grow up in front of your eyes.”
He said show creator Lorne Michaels told him during his first audition that he didn’t think Davidson was right for the show, but
let’s screw this up together… and that’s exactly what we did
And that’s why people who don’t think I deserve this job shouldn’t hate me since we have so much in common. Like, if anything I should be inspire hope that
literally anyone could be on ‘Saturday Night Live.’”

Reports of Aidy Bryant leaving the show were confirmed during another segment on Update…
Bryant with Bowen Yang, as over the top Trend Forecasters with their last category, Future Trends, they slipped in some sweet honesty…
In: “Ten nice years” — (as in Bryant’s tenure on SNL)
In: “A friend I couldn’t have done this without…
In: “My best guys kissing me.”
To end the sketch as both Che and Yang lean in for a smooch and the catchphrase,
Go to bed, bitch!”
Variety reported Friday that McKinnon, Davidson, Bryant and Kyle Mooney were all expected to leave the show at the end of the season.
