Liam Hemsworth hosted Saturday Night Live this week and the musical guest was Chance the Rapper. He became the first unsigned artist to ever perform on SNL, debuting his brand new single, Somewhere in Paradise, and he also performed, Sunday Candy. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to think at first. They were both slightly manic, quirky performances and at times he seemed in control and a seasoned pro and other moments teetered on the edge of too-odd-for-TV. (He’s cute as hell, but personally, I hate the name. Chance the Rapper? As bad as Cedric the Entertainer or Trey Songz? Not that Lady Gaga is that great of a name either…)
Immediately following SNL, he shared the studio version of the track, which features contributions from Jeremih, R. Kelly and Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment, as a free download through his official website. What do you think of his performances? TOOT or BOOT on our Facebook page.
