This week (like last week and the week before) a LOT of people needed to apologize…
SNL opened with Britney Spears (Chloe Fineman) hosting a TV talk show called Oops… You Did It Again, which provided cancelled people a space to apologize for things they did wrong.
Britney opens with,
“You all know me from my upbeat Instagram videos and the word ‘conservatorship.'”
First up was Texas Senator Ted Cruz (Aidy Bryant) just back from Cancun.
“Hola, everyone. I’m not tan. I just cried myself red over my fellow Texans.”
…I’m in a little bit of hot water, which I’m told is a thing that no one in Texas has. I deeply regret my actions over the last couple of days.
Mostly, flying United.”
Next guest was New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (Pete Davidson) who was on because of his nursing home scandal.
Finally, Gina Carano (Cecily Strong) was on because she was fired from The Mandalorian after offensive posts.
“I’ve done nothing wrong. No one can even explain what I did wrong. Explain it.”
Britney then explained that on social media, Carano compared Nazi Germany to the current political landscape.
“Okay, congrats. You explained it.”
