Host Woody Harrelson introduced the musical guest on SNL‘s season premiere as “the incomparable Billie Eilish” and she did NOT disappoint.
During her first performance, Eillish sang her hit Bad Guy, in a set of the SNL band stage of Grand Central recreated in miniature. It all took a turn, literally, when Eilish started walking around the space which was rotating while the camera was stationary making it look as though she was walking on walls and dancing on the ceiling. (Nod to Lionel Ritchie.)
Later, Eilish returned with an acoustic version of I Love You with her brother, Finneas O’Connell on guitar with Eilish’s vocal expertise on highlight.
Her SNL performances comes on the heels announcing her arena world tour, Where Do We Go?, kicking off in 2020.
Earlier this year, Bad Guy replaced L’il NasX‘s Old Town as the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts. Eilish, who is just 17, is the youngest singer to lead the chart since Lorde did in 2013 with Royals at 16.
Watch.
