Adam Sandler returned to host Saturday Night Live for the first time, since being fired nearly 24 years ago, as he sang about in his opening monologue with fellow fired cast member, Chris Rock. (Sandler now holds the record for the longest gap between an actor appearing as an SNL castmember and then returning to host.)
Lots of sketches featured Sandler, but this pre-taped commercial for Rectix, an erectile dysfunction cure, was like the crude, classic ads of 90’s SNL, like Schmitt’s Gay Beer and Oops I Crapped My Pants.
A son asks his Dad about “problems down there” and Dad recommends a gigantic suppository. The son asks,
“And it just dissolves up there?”
Dad replies,
“No, no, no. That’s the best part son, it stays put for as long as you need it to work. It even comes with an attached loop so you can retrieve it when you’re through.”
And the son finally gets it,
“It’s a butt plug!”
“No, it’s a pill”
