Tsuyoshi Dusanagi, a member of the aging Japanese boy band SMAP and the face of a government campaign to get the public to switch over to digital television, was found very early one recent morning drunk, naked, and screaming at the top of his lungs (as the saying goes) in a public park in central Tokyo. “What’s wrong with being naked?” he slurred when the police questioned him. Ironically, Dusanagi has the cleanest-cut image of SMAP’s five members, all of whom have lucrative endorsement deals up the wazoo. Dusanagi’s Thursday frolic has jeopardized those deals and removed him as the face of Japan’s digital TV. (Metro)
