Anyone reading the brilliant Geek Love will, between chapters, put the book down breathless, sweaty, and wanting to know more about Katherine Dunn, the creator of Olympia, Arturo, and the other members of the traveling Binewski Fabulon. Back in 1989 when the novel was first published (though it reads much older, more classic, like something by George Eliot), Dunn was interviewed by Don Swaim for his CBS radio show in Manhattan. The 40-minutes-or-so interviews Swain conducted with such authors as Paul Theroux, John Updike, and Isaac Asimov were edited down to two minutes back then, but now Wired for Books has restored and posted the interviews at their full length. The Katherine Dunn interview is 32:04.
