A new book for children, Where Willy Went, has been released by Random House. According to the back of the book, “our hero is Willy, a little sperm who lives inside Mr Browne with 300 million friends. Every day Willy practices for the Great Swimming Race.” A woman called Dea Birkett wrote to the Saturday Guardian to say that her son thought the book was brilliant. After he read it, he asked, “Mummy, have I got a Willy inside me?” “Not yet, but you will – loads and loads and loads of them,” his mum responded. In actual fact, Ms Birkett set up an organisation called Kids in Museums after her son was thrown out of a museum for shouting. The museum might have had a point, though, if her son was running around asking museum staff if he had a willy inside him.
