Enough with the Brokeback misery. It’s time for a gay version of American Pie – with a flaky puff-pastry crust. Don’t you think? Bill Coleman aka Peace Bisquit, music-supervising wiz on WOW’s Party Monster and Inside Deep Throat, is adding the fluffy filling to just that sort of movie. He writes:
I’m currently music supervising a wonderful, irreverent, and hilarious new film called Another Gay Movie, by acclaimed director Todd Stephens (Edge of Seventeen, Gypsy 83). It’s a colorful teen sexploitation spoof in the vein of contemporary classics American Pie and Clueless. Think Porky’s meets Pretty in Pink with a few homages to The Brady Bunch and others thrown in, with a smart, sly, and raunchy gay teen twist. It will be released July 28th by TLA Releasing. We’ve also been picked as one of the premiere films at this year’s prestigious Tribeca Film Festival.
Besides the four cute leads (Michael Carbonaro, Jonah Blechman, Mitch Morris and Jonathan Chase), the film also stars Graham Norton, Scott Thompson (Kids In The Hall), Lypsinka, Richard Hatch (Survivor), Matthew Rush (Falcon Studios), Darryl Stephens (Noah’s Ark), James Getzlaff (Boy Meets Boy), and Ant (VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club).
The music we’re putting in the film is fun and bubbly electro, rock, and indie pop. Colorful and energetic – just like the film. A summer soundtrack companion would be beyond ideal!
