Girls creator Lena Dunham released a pro-Hillary rap video on Funny or Die today – which means it was probably meant to be funny, althoooooooouuuuugh…. I guess you have to be a die-hard fan to get it.
Via HuffPo:
In the clip, Dunham raps about the inequality and sexism Clinton faces on a regular basis while prancing around in a red pantsuit. Things escalate quickly, though, and, before we know it, the Dunham has stripped down to a bikini-pantsuit hybrid to make the song all about herself.
Dunham explained her ideas behind the video ― which also stars Cynthia Erivo and Charlamagne tha God ― in an interview with Vulture, saying, “I liked the idea of a well-meaning, ridiculous white girl who thinks she’s helping the election by exposing her body and writing thoughtless rap music.”
“There are so many PSAs at this point, so it’s fun to take a step back and go, ‘How many of these are working?’” she added. “We should all be doing our part, but are they necessarily the smartest way that we can be going about it?”

Ummm, her heart is in the right place, though, right?
