When Bob Dylan first met the Beatles, he complimented them on their drug song, “I Want to Hold Your Hand” – he especially liked the part where they sing “I get high, I get high….” In a new book about the mop tops (yes, another), The Act You’ve Known for All These Years (excellent title, though), author Clinton Heylin writes that the lads explained the words were actually, “I can’t hide, I can’t hide.” Paul McCartney recalled Dylan “was rather amused by that. And we were amused that he was amused.” (Page Six)
