Today thousands of (drunk?) Santas take on NYC’s bars.
The festivities kick off at 10AM at Broadway and 40th Street. Costumes are required to attend; a classic (or sexy) Santa? an elf about to barf? or any remix that says Christmas.
Their website says,
“So don your gay apparel, bake all your cookies, and practice sliding down the chimney a few times, because SantaCon will be here before you know it!”
SantaCon 2021 was the (welcome?) return of the tradition. COVID stopped the wasted elves from getting into the holiday spirit in 2020.
No proof of COVID vaccination this year. There are 64 clubs and bars on the map for SantaCon 2022.
Ticketare are $15 and proceeds will be split among various charities, which is great. But truth be told, most who dwell on the isle of Manhattan HATE SantaCon and run for the hills when it’s on.
SantaCon is Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022. Run!
