Oh the shame! Oh the humiliation! Treated like a commoner at the velvet rope! Poor Ryan Seacrest was DENIED entrance to Jennifer Lopez‘s big 50th birthday party in Miami Beach.
As swells like Alex Rodriguez and Fat Joe partied inside at Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s Miami estate on Star Island, Seacrest was curtly told “You’re not on the list” by the doorman.
“Clearly, there’s a mistake,” Seacrest said. “She invited me personally.”
I mean… they ARE friends. And they worked together on American Idol. It’s not unreasonable to assume he’s on the list…
But no. Upon getting denied, Seacrest said he asked to see the list and “well, sure enough there’s Ryan T., and Ryan Z. There’s no Ryan Seacrest.”
The doorman then asked him to “wait under the fan,” while he made a phone call. Minutes passed. Ryan nervously waited. Paced back and forth. Beads of sweat formed on his upper lip (I’m riffing here, I have no idea if it actually happened).
Well. All’s well that ends well. Ryan was given the OK and allowed into the party.
“Thank you, sir. I told you so,” Seacrest said.
And I’m glad we got that settled.
