New year, new show to binge on. AJ and the Queen, RuPaul’s new Netflix Originals series premieres this Friday, January 10! The countdown is on, and we could not be more excited to get our much-needed dose of new RuPaul looks and performances!
In the series, Ru stars as Ruby Red, a drag queen who has saved up $100,000 to open her own bar, only to have that money stolen; seriously derailing her plans. To make back that hard-earned money, Ruby takes on an ambitious tour across America in a run-down 1990s RV, and finds out that a 10-year-old stowaway named AJ is also on-board.
We can’t wait to find out what happens to Ruby and AJ on this cross-country tour and what lessons we’ll learn from the show!

AJ and the Queen was written and executive produced by RuPaul, alongside Michael Patrick King, who wrote, directed, and produced Sex and the City.
The biggest gag? Each episode will feature RuPaul blessing us with a new musical performance. Some familiar faces from RuPaul’s Drag Race will also hit the screen, including Valentina, Mayhem Miller, Bianca Del Rio, Eureka O’Hara, Victoria ‘Porkchop’ Parker, Alexis Mateo, Manila Luzon, Vanessa ‘Miss Vanjie’ Mateo, Jinkx Monsoon, Katya, Jaymes Mansfield, Chad Michaels, Mariah Balenciaga, Kennedy Davenport, Jade Jolie, Ongina, Latrice Royale, Monique Heart, Ginger Minj, Trinity The Tuck, Jujubee, and Pandora Boxx.

We are three days away until AJ and the Queen officially lands on Netflix! Check out the trailer below, and make sure to show Mama Ru some love by watching the new series on January 10!
