The three central young royals, Prince Harry, Prince William and wife Kate Middleton chat in this nearly seven-minute video released by Kensington Palace on Friday. It shows them sitting at a picnic table at the palace discussing their work regarding mental-health advocacy and sharing their personal experiences.
Harry speaks directly about how he avoided his emotions following the death of Princess Diana.
“I always thought to myself what was the point of bringing up the past, what was the point of bringing up something that is only going to make you sad. It ain’t going to bring her back.. But when you start thinking about that, it can be really damaging.”
William says,
“We have been brought closer together because of the circumstances . . . we are uniquely bonded because of what we’ve been through. But even Harry and I over the years have not talked enough about our mother.”
We know enough about them but this really is a window into what they share with mere mortals but also what they sound like in conversation.
