This morning, streaming giant, Netflix released the season 2 teaser of The Crown. The series tells the inside story of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign from the beginning. The Netflix series is based on the award-winning play, ‘The Audience’ which starred Helen Mirren on London’s West End.
However, season 2 looks like it will pick up where all the very serious drama left off in season 1: 1956 thru 1964. Elizabeth and Prince Phillip are still bickering! Princess Margaret getting a new beau- played by Downton Abbey cutie, Matthew William Goode! Even John F. Kennedy visits (played by Michael C. Hall) with Jackie in tow (played by Jodi Balfour)!
Returning is Claire Foy as the formidable Queen Elizabeth, Matt Smith as Prince Phillip and John Lithgow as the best Winston Churchill, ever. There are a ton of new faces, including the Cersei Lannister’s maester, Qyburn, played by Anton Lesser.
We can’t wait to sink into this new season coming in December of 2017. Check out the trailer for all the incredible pouts by Claire Foy, herself!
