Roy Horn, one half of the famous Siegried & Roy performing duo – aka the ORIGINAL Tiger Kings – has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Horn, 75, is “currently responding well to treatment,” his publicist said in a statement to ABC News.
He and Siegfried Fischbacher “send positive wishes to everyone impacted by the pandemic,” the statement said.
Horn, you’ll recall, was the one who suffered a career-ending tragedy when he was mauled onstage during a live performance at the Mirage hotel-casino by Mantacore, a 400-pound Siberian tiger.
Since then, he has mostly been out of the spotlight.
“I really don’t miss it,” Siegfried said. “We have been on stage in Vegas just by themselves for 40 years on stage, you know? And we had the most successful show in the history of Las Vegas anyway.”
Roy, who has continued to work on his recovery, said he has no reluctance with the tigers after the accident, adding that he is “very” content and happy.
