I love this translation from a review of the new clubkid musical, Dö Klubbdöden, which recently debuted in Stockholm: “When the interaction between the characters James St James and Michael Alig works, the show becomes really good. James St. James’ character is portrayed fantastically, at the same time he exudes both innocence and cruelty, and despite his fascistoid traits he still lets himself showing a large soreness.
“Also, Michael Alig, who in his extreme drive refuses being defined by the outside world and is creating his own world instead, is being clear and well presented on stage. They are both undoubtedly creating this sarcastic, normcritical and drugsoaked version of the American Dreams.”
HA! My fascistoid traits show my large soreness. That’s about right, henny! Read the entire review (in Swedish!) at RYMDEN.
