
Just when we thought we couldn’t get more excited for RuPaul’s upcoming Netflix sitcom, AJ and the Queen, it’s been revealed that 22 RuPaul’s Drag Race alums will co-star alongside Ru’s character, Ruby Red!

“This show isn’t about a drag queen in a kids show. This is about a kid in a drag queen’s show. It’s edgy, and it has some dark themes in there,” said RuPaul to Vanity Fair. “It was something I was eager to explore. To prove to myself that I’m not dead inside. I proved to myself that I could pull those emotions up. It’s intoxicating.”


AJ and the Queen, co-created by Ru and Sex & the City’s Michael Patrick King, premieres Friday, Jan. 10 on Netflix. Check out the official teaser trailer below:
