Showdog Moms & Dads‘ supervising producer here at WOW had an opportunity recently to see what ELSE is on TV and filed this report:
Spent the weekend scrubbing down the house from the big Showdogs party last week. How the hell does salsa end up on the ceiling? On the plus side, it gave me a chance to catch up on some TV. I didn’t realize how much I’d missed.
Intervention (A&E) – This week’s episode followed a crystal meth addict and a compulsive gambler. True train-wreck TV, but it makes me feel so much better about my life. I wonder how they’ll do another season if people know there’s gonna be an intervention at the end.
Dr 90210 (E!) – This should be so much better than it is. I scan past the gross surgery scenes. While it’s no Swan, the payoff at the end is still great.
Room Raiders (MTV) – In EVERY episode they find porn and condoms in the guys’ rooms. Thank goodness my next show was. . . .
20 Greatest Songs of Faith (CMT) – I have no idea why I watched this, other than the fact that it was on, I love list shows, and Dolly Parton was interviewed.
Brian’s Song (CMT) – It was on after 20 Greatest Songs of Faith. As a TV guy, thought it was something I should see, a classic and all. Probably played better in 1971.
Family Plots (A&E) – Kind of a snooze. Should be Plotz. This episode had nothing to do with the mortuary. Just boring, unattractive people.
The Surreal Life (VH1) – I love this show. It seems to get better every season. Peter Brady is my hero. Mark my words, this show is going to revive his career. Poor Mini-Me.
Match Game (GSN) – Only recently discovered this gem. “Dan said, ‘I knew my doctor was a quack when he told me to open my mouth and he put his BLANK in it.’ It’s the absolute dirtiest show on TV. And Charles Nelson Reilly in an ascot – what could be better?
