Actor, writer, producer, and “gay porn superstar” Jack Wrangler died yesterday at the age of 62 due to complications from lung disease. Wrangler, whose real name was John Robert Stillman, was born into show business. He grew up in Beverly Hills and got an early start in Hollywood as a child TV actor. His father, Robert Stillman, was one of the producers of Bonanza, and his mother was a line dancer in Busby Berkeley musicals. As a young man in the 1970s, he ventured into porn and quickly rose to stardom, performing in 85 adult films (both gay and straight), including The Devil in Miss Jones: Part II. In 1994 he married Margaret Whiting, the famous crooner 22 years his senior.
