Nellie Connally, widow of former Texas governor John Connally and the last surviving passenger in the limousine in which John F Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas in 1963, died in her sleep at an Austin nursing home late Friday night. She was 87. Mrs Connally strongly disagreed with the Warren Commission’s finding that there had been only one shooter that day. “I will fight anybody that argues with me about those three shots,” she said. “I do know what happened in that car.”
