Jim Delsing, outfielder for the St. Louis Browns, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, and New York Yankees died of cancer last week at his home in Chesterfield, Missouri. He was 80. He’s most famous for an incident that occurred on August 19th, 1951, when he served as a pinch runner for midget Eddie Gaedel (pictured, in dugout). Not to take the limelight off Delsing, but would you like to see Gaedel’s jockstrap? (t/y Chris)
