Actress Virginia Grey has died, reports the LA Times. She was 87 when she succumbed to heart failure on Saturday in her home at the Motion Picture & Television Fund facility in Los Angeles. Grey appeared in over 100 films and scores of television shows over four decades, beginning with the part of Little Eva in the 1927 silent, Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Other silents included The Michigan Kid and Jazz Mad; in 1933, she worked with Mary Pickford in Secrets. After completing school and attending dance classes, the blue-eyed beauty returned to the screen in 1936 as a chorine in The Great Ziegfeld. She made guest appearances on Bonanza, My Three Sons, and Love, American Style; her last well-known film was Airport, in 1970. She never married.
