Now that the age of the tiny screen is upon us thanks to video iPod, how do the small screen and the big screen plan to react to the birth of the future? By going back to the past.
On the big screen: Cinematical has rumors of a Rocky 6, an Austin Powers 3, and a True Lies 2 with Arnold (that’s better than his being Governor again), all jostling to keep up with the announcement of yet another James Bond movie (20 at last count).
Meanwhile, on the small screen: Following Rome, rumor has it HBO seems to believe there’s gold in plumbing the depths of ancient history by giving ABC husk Ted Koppel a rich juicy deal. Koppel – I thought he had either been cancelled or died years ago – along with Brokaw, Jennings, and Rather belongs to yesterday’s old news guard. How on earth is carthorse Ted going to have anything watchable to say? And on HBO of all places.
