Jimmy Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen are putting their Grammercy Park apartment on the market.
The 4,950-square-foot property spans three floors in a historic Gramercy Park co-op that has undergone extensive renovations with some truly unique personalization over the years.
In addition to its seven bedrooms, it has a sizable living room, a poppy eat-in kitchen and walk-in pantry that looks like a store (my favorite room.)
And major views of Grammercy Park. Little side note about Grammercy Park, this is one of the best buildings on the Park, and anyone living in this prestigious enclave gets a key to the private gated green space. So if you ask me MUCH better than Central Park, and generally cheaper as well.
Bette Midler‘s 3 floor Central Park Penthouse is twice as big (if you include the terraces, but it’s more that 3 times the price; $50 million!)
Underneath the stairs leading up to the apartment’s top floor is one of the a hidden playroom for the couple’s 2 children. Also accessible through a secret door in the walk-in-pantry, the room has a chalkboard wall, a set of monkey bars and an intercom to the upstairs playroom.
Fallon told The Wall Street Journal,
“I always like a secret bookshelf or a secret room.”
There’s a fully-equipped barroom with a gas fireplace and more fab park views.
The Master Suite (which they refer to as the Primary Bedroom) is on the top floor and includes two walk-in closets, a bath with dual vanities and a steam shower, as well as a soaking tub.
Fallon purchased his first apartment in the building, a one-bedroom, in 2002 for $850,00 and over the years, he and his wife kept purchasing units in the building, picking up their last in 2014 for $725,000. Overall, the couple spent about $5.8 million on the five units they purchased, one of which they intend to keep for themselves.
Since the pandemic, Fallon has been spending more time in their house in the Hampton’s. Since this looks like a country house, wonder if the country house looks like a Manhattan penthouse?
Jeremy V. Stein and Debbie Korb of Sotheby’s International Realty have the listing. Price: $15 million
