Today legendary songwriter Randy "I Love LA" Newman received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, right outside the front door of Musso and Frank, and directly across the street from the World of Wonder building. His friend and Monty Python star Eric Idle gave a hilarious congratulatory speech, Pixar auteur John Lasseter said some kind words, and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce declared the day Randy Newman Day. Even Woody and Buzz Lightyear made appearances, to honor the acclaimed songwriter for their Toy Story movies.
