For the first time anywhere, a transsexual will appear in TV and print ads for a sanitary napkin, reports The Chosun Ilbo. Harisu, the Korean singer-model whose song, “Foxy Lady,” is burning up the charts in Seoul, will begin shooting the ads for UFT’s feminine hygiene product next month.
Up till now, male stars like Go Su and Gam U-seong have appeared in sanitary napkin ads, but never has a transgender individual. When the singer first learned what the company wanted her to market, she was quite hesitant. UFT, however, explained that the sanitary pads are a cutting-edge product that not only gives women that spring-fresh feeling, but also prevents menstrual cramps. Hearing this, the singer eventually accepted the offer.
And in a related story, scientists in Korea have successfully extracted live sperm from a dead fox.
