My drag is very much spur of the moment lightbulb ideas that manifest into drag campery…which results in most of my looks/performances completely contradicting the one before it, and that’s just the way I like it. Contra is Punk. She’s Glam. They’re a freak. But whatever the look, you’re bound to contract a love for Contra.
I’m a country girl at heart but was always destined for the big queer city! When I was younger, my parents put a lock on my sister’s door to stop me stealing her dresses…so, discovering drag felt like it was always meant to be. I believe that everyone has their own destined art form and I feel lucky that drag has become mine! I want to encourage other creative minds to discover what drag has to offer. After wanting to encourage the expansion of the clubkid scene here in Perth, me and some friends created ODDBALL– an event night for all the ODDBALLs out there to come and get weird and experiment with drag in every form it has to offer.
