The UK’s Queen Elizabeth II, while visiting Ontario, Canada, yesterday, received the newest BlackBerry direct from its manufacturer, Research in Motion. (She’s had an older version in her handbag for years.) Then she put on 3D glasses (at left) to watch a short film made just for her at Pinewood Toronto studios, which boasts the largest movie sound stage in North America. Paul Bronfman, chairman of Pinewood Toronto, apologized to the queen for not standing when “God Save the Queen” was played that day, explaining, “I have multiple sclerosis.” With her typical charity, Her Majesty replied, “That’s got to be a little bit annoying.”
