Meet the New York Agents
Luis D. Ortiz
Luis D. Ortiz was born ready to conquer the world. Leaving his hometown of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico with his twin brother at the age of 16, he took his talents as a budding filmmaker and photographer to Miami, before moving to New York City 6 years ago. At the age of 21, he decided to apply his skills to the fast paced world of real estate, where he could be the director of his own life. His passion and ability to make anyone smile got him through the door and he hasn’t left since. Working at one of the top real estate brokerage firms, Douglas Elliman, he is quickly becoming a household name in the real estate world at just 26 years old. Because of his unique strategies and infectious personality, his hard work and relentless pursuits lead him to his dream job. As Luis often says, “If you believe, you can achieve.”
Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, Fredrik Eklund moved to New York City 11 years ago with a background in finance and a hunger to build an empire. Combining his love of numbers and people, he decided real estate was where he belonged. His drive and quirky personality quickly set him apart from the rest, and recently earned him and his team the title of “Number One Real Estate Team in NYC.” Including international sales at his successful real estate brokerage in Scandinavia, Fredrik has over 2 billion dollars (and rising!) in residential sales over the past 11 years. Even with the record breaking numbers and honorable titles, he is still a self-proclaimed “kid at heart” and brings an unprecedented joyful professionalism to everything he does.
From soap operas to real estate, Ryan Serhant is no stranger to working in an intense environment. His charisma and quick wit give him an edge that keeps his business booming. After just 3 years in the industry, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Nest Seekers International. In just under five years, he has sold nearly one billion dollars in real estate and was ranked in the top 20 brokers out of 28,000 in New York City. His dedication to his business and personal attention to his clients have secured him credibility and stability in the competitive world of real estate. Not letting those blue eyes and single dimple go to waste, he continues to juggle his love for acting with his gift for selling real estate. Look out for Ryan in an upcoming feature comedy to be released in 2015.
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles
The powerhouses of Los Angeles real estate prepare for a British invasion as James Harris and David Parnes join Josh Altman and Josh Flagg on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles’ 7h season. Competition for the coveted Bird Streets, the most expensive spec home in Los Angeles, and a bidding war with New York’s hottest agent make for the most explosive, most extravagant season of Million Dollar Listing yet.
Rappers, artists, film producers of adults-only content flock to the agents dubbed “Best of the West” in real estate. Champagne and caviar flow as the agents hit chart-topping numbers in sales with properties boasting presidential house-guests, commercial film credits, and neighbors like Kim and Kanye. But it’s not all $48 million dollar mansions and custom McLarens this season. Clashes over the biggest listing of their career put the Brits partnership in jeopardy, and their life-long bond is tested by budding rivalries and blossoming bromances with Flagg and Altman. When Josh’s pre-nuptial planning revolves more around the Altman Brothers than the future Mrs. Altman, and puts stress on Heather. And heart-wrenching grief over the passing of his beloved grandmother, Edith, leaves Josh Flagg taking a hard look at the direction of his own life, and future legacy.
Every listing counts this season with low inventory in the fiercely competitive Los Angeles market. Scarcity in the Hills has the agents expanding their businesses to Venice and Redondo Beach, attaining clientele ranging from A-list to outrageous. Watch Wednesday’s at 9 PM to see the boys battle for the top spot in the Wild West of real estate.
