Levonia just released her Greatest Hits album today, the last day of Pride.
Before bearded drag queens were even a thing, Levonia, forced herself onto the scene in ‘201’3 with the her debut dance floor jam, So Cunt. Jezebel called it The Song of the Summer, and it featured her frequent collaborator, La Lopez, blending queer culture commentary with an ironic, comedic POV.
A staple on Fire Island (appearing annually at The Drag Invasion of the Pines) Levonia is the current host of Drag Attack, which crowns the Worst Drag Queen in Cherry Grove, a title she’s won (and earned) over and over.
In anticipation of the album release, Levonia is releasing a 12-part mockumentary, Behind The Beat: At Home With Levonia, where she talks about the creation of each of her so-called “hits.”
