Protests across the nation are planned Monday in response to Trump‘s national emergency declaration.
They are opposing the order signed Friday that could free up billions to construct his dumb border wall. The move has divided Congress (as if it’s not divided already) over the president’s use of executive power and whether there really IS an emergency. (There’s not.)
At least two lawsuits by watchdog groups are challenging the legality of the declaration, and California’s Attorney General Xavier Becerra said he will file a suit.
