Joe Rogan has contracted COVID.
The podcaster made the announcement on his Instagram saying he felt
“very weary, I had a headache,” and “just rundown.”
Rogan said he tried a multitude of medications and treatments, like monoclonal antibodies, the steroid prednisone, an antibiotic Z-Pak, a vitamin drip and ivermectin.
Ivermectin is typically used for parasitic infections in animals such as horses and cows. It has been used with FDA approval in specified doses for humans suffering from intestinal parasites like worms.
However, it isn’t intended or used to treat viruses.
Amid a surge of prescriptions for the drug, as well as an increase in people purchasing the version of the drug meant for livestock, the warning is,
“The FDA has received multiple reports of patients who have required medical support and been hospitalized after self-medicating with ivermectin intended for horses.
Animal drugs are often highly concentrated because they are used for large animals like horses and cows, which can weigh a lot more than we do—a ton or more. Such high doses can be highly toxic in humans.”
Rogan faced backlash in April of this year for saying young, healthy people don’t need the COVID vaccine. He later walked back his comments, saying,
“I’m not a doctor, I’m a fucking moron. I’m not a respected source of information, even for me… But I at least try to be honest about what I’m saying.”
So, anti-vaxers are afraid of what’s in the J&J, Moderna & Pfizer vaccines but take a medication intended for horses and cows? WTF?! That’s sounds TOTALLY rational.
