So, almost a year ago I went to North Carolina to produce a short film called Our Neck of the Woods, concerning the adventures of Bob, a foreman in the Mold-O-Form plastic lawn ornament deer factory. We cast tons of locals, made about 150 plastic deer to torch, met dozens of lovely Southerners, and ate a lifetime’s worth of bar-b-que. A year later, we conned the folks at the Sundance Film Festival into premiering our little movie and here is the trailer (yes, a trailer for a 15-minute movie). The Sundance programmers sandwiched us between the winning short from Cannes and Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s short film with Eric Stoltz. So, yeah, we’ll look just amazing, I’m sure. I’m bringing my copy of Mask for Stoltz to sign, so he’d better be there.
