Photographer Ruben Natal-San Miguel is having a moment this summer with 4 exhibits including a solo show opening this weekend…
You might recognize his photographs from the scores of shoots published on The WOW Report; his gorgeous pics of Drag Race queens, RuPaul’s Drag Con, Wigstock 2.0, Coney Island’s Mermaid Parade, Pride celebrations, hot guys, AfroPunks, pics of his beloved Puerto Rico bouncing back after hurricane devastation, his shocking photos of a deserted NYC in March of 2020 and more…
He is currently is an online exhibit, Queer Me Now, in my Gallery 52 on Artsy, with his stunning portrait of the late Chi Chi DeVayne. All That Glitters Is Not Gold is a two person show that Ruben is in with artist Scooter LaForge at Domingos en la playa Gallery curated by Lauren Powell. in Provincetown, June5- July 1, 2021.
He’s also in a group exhibit, Transfiguration, at Postmasters Gallery in NYC. During the quarantine shut-down last year, his solo show at Postmasters was literally shut down, but Ruben kept going, kept shooting and he never gave up.
Ruben said today,
“Last fall ( September) went to Provincetown on a whim with a card from my show at the Fitchburg Museum. I visited several galleries and set a goal of having an exhibition there. So grateful that Gary Marotta fine art g-1 took my card, followed me on Instagram and now less than a year later, on my way to a solo show opening.
Slowly but, steadily, making my own career path. Thank you all for your ongoing support! I will be having my own kind of July 4th Fireworks!!”
