Pics from Last Night’s SUPER-FABULOUS “Freak Show” Premiere at OutFest!

There was an amazing turnout last night for James St James‘ book-turned-movie Freak Show at the closing night of OutFest 2017. Courtney Love, Lisa Edelstein, Matt Dallas, Bananarama’s stunning Siobhan Fahey and others mingled with producers Bryan Rabin and Jeffrey Coulter, cast members Laverne Cox, Ian Nelson, and the super-talented star Alex Lawther. Star Bette Midler wasn’t able to attend (she’s currently on Broadway in Hello, Dolly, of course), but sent a message of support for director Trudie Styler which James read to the audience. #OUTFEST closed tonight on a well-deserved, most-fabulous note with the #hometown debut of #FreakShow, and I’m so proud of my fellow freaks #JamesStJames + #BryanRabin for transforming Jame’s critically acclaimed #YA novel into a gem of a film, which screened to a full house at the @AceHotel theater. Bryan (here at the afterparty with actor #IanNelson, who plays Flip) first shared the script with me about 8 years ago, and I thought he was mad AND brave for trying his hand at producing a film.
