Phoneblok: The Lego Phone

Do you like customizing your phone? Do you want to customize the hell out of it? Industrial designer Dave Hakkens is working with Motorola towards the next step in cell phone evolution, Phonebloks, making the cell phone closer to the functionality of a desktop computer. The next step for Phonebloks is to get the word out, and giving anyone with internet access the chance to help develop it. I can imagine some great pros from this concept, updating to a better quality camera lens instead of waiting for the next generation phone, or say you drop you phone and the screen cracks, you could just replace the screen block. I can’t think of many cons aside from that dreadful ukelele music that is used in so many commercials ad nauseam.
