Kyle Tanguay is an NFL cheerleader with the Philadelphia Eagles, and he’s also an amateur singer with a dream of competing on American Idol. He brought his whole cheer squad with him for his audition covering “Mercy” by Shawn Mendes:
With his “ride or die girls,” Kyle shows Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie what he’s got. He acknowledges he’s never had a singing lesson, but for someone whom Katy Perry calls a “virgin,” Kyle has a great energy and spirit. It’s so uplifting to see him doing two things he loves at once!
