Drag Race legend Phi Phi O’Hara will be holding a benefit to raise funds for the people of Puerto Rico. The show, called Queens United/ Reinas Unidas, will take place Nov. 6 in Minneapolis (with the venue stop be announced) and features a superstar roster of queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race including Acid Betty, Alexis Michelle, Chad Michaels, Cynthia Lee Fontaine, Darienne Lake, Farrah Moan, Ginger Minj, Jade Jolie, Jade Sotomayor, Jessica Wild, Jiggly Caliente, Kimora Blac, Naysha Lopez, Nicole Paige Brooks, Madame LaQueer, Mariah Paris Balenciaga, Mrs. Kasha Davis, Mystique Summers, Ongina, Pandora Boxx, Phi Phi O’Hara, Trinity Taylor and Yara Sofia. (Lineup is subject to change.)
“It doesn’t take money to show compassion and empathy for people who are struggling in Puerto Rico,” O’Hara comments. “What it does take is a leader to help rebuild and show the people of Puerto Rico that they matter and we as humans, no matter race, sex, gender, religious background, see someone struggle, you put out a hand to lift them up.”

All proceeds from the show — tickets, meets and greets and merch sales — will go to Somos Una Voz, a relief initiative started by Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony which is rushing food, shelter, medicine, power and means of communication to Puerto Ricans in need after the island’s devastating natural disasters.
“My husband is Puerto Rican and has family members still on the island that he has yet to hear from so this hits close to home,” O’Hara explains. “In addition, I have been lucky to be apart of RuPaul’s Drag Race where our very own alumni are currently stuck on the island with no help.”
Phi Phi has also launched a crowdfunding page to help raise funds which has already raised $6,200 of the $10,000 goal. (via Billboard)
