So here’s Paris Hilton’s podcast that was a buildup to the release of House of Wax, in which she costars. The house of WOW has no problem with it: She speaks clearly, it sounds like what hanging out with her might be like, and it’s just what you’d expect a Paris Hilton podcast to sound like, minus the “that’s hot” repeats. Boring. Paris isn’t that much different from Andy Warhol in that she will go anywhere and do just about anything, no matter how vacuous, as long as there is some kind – any kind – of recording device. Andy had a perfume. We predict Paris will have a magazine.
But random Yahoo critics criticize, in that way they have. Sez one:
“Listening to Paris whine about her tough life promoting her new movie for 1 1/2 minutes, followed by a minute of unintelligible babble and then 2 minutes of ambient audio sure is the kind of content that’s going have me running out to buy an MP3 player, download iPodder, and then ignore my 3000 tunes in favor of listening to podcasts.”
We sense sarcasm. But, though it’s been said before and this won’t be the last time, Andy would have loved it.
