The New York Post is reporting today that heiress/DJ/perfume mogul Paris Hilton has just sold a memoir to the same publisher as Jessica Simpson’s recent best-seller — William Morrow imprint Dey Street Books.
Of course Paris already has a memoir, 2004’s Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose, which is BRILLIANT. Lots of advice on wearing tiaras and how much glitter is too much glitter. This one, though, promises to dig a little deeper.
Hilton shopped the memoir via lit agent Albert Lee at UTA, and the upcoming publication was acquired by Dey Street’s editorial director Carrie Thornton. Dey Street describes Hilton’s memoir as “both searingly honest and deeply personal” and adds, “Hilton will share the real Paris Hilton as her celebrity persona evolved.”
The publisher didn’t reveal the title of the book or a release date. But, like Simpson’s hit book, Hilton certainly could reveal behind-the-scenes details of some infamous incidents, relationships and pop culture touchstone moments.
That probably means stories about her sex tape, her multiple engagements, her on-again-off-again-back-on-again relationship with her former closet organizer Kim Kardashian, and her recent campaign to have Provo Canyon School — the “emotional growth” school that she attended in 1999 — shut down.
One thing she probably WON’t be talking about: Voting for good family friend Donald Trump in 2016. Just sayin’.
