Opening this Friday in major cities is the Brian Jones biopic, Stoned, exploring the idea that his death by drowning in 1969 might not have been accidental. With all the possible Rolling Stones song titles to choose from, that they decided to call the movie Stoned makes us cranky. It stars Leo Gregory as the Stones’ cofounder Jones and Monet Mazur as Jones’ girlfriend Anita Pallenberg. It’s interesting but coincidental that it was Mazur’s father, Ruby, who designed the Rolling Stones’ tongue logo lo those many years ago. (Watch the trailer)
