
Dunbar says, “Painting the body is a tribal thing, Indigenous people from many countries adorn the body with paint: we still paint our faces.” The ‘painting of faces’ is challenged by the Dunbar/Chiappin partnership which transforms Elvis’ eyes onto the breasts of a headless woman. New Body of Art challenges preconceived ideas of art: it creates its own distinctive path in the culminating effect of painting, photograph and sculpture.
