On February 2, United Airlines flight Oscar 1 transported the 50 Academy Award trophies from Chicago, where they were manufactured by the RS Owens Company, to Los Angeles, where they will live. We wonder, Did each one get a separate seat? Were there human passengers on board other than the pilot, Academy exec director Bruce Davis, and chef Wolfgang Puck? A Hollywood chef? Even inanimate objects are averse to airline food? So what do you serve to statuettes about to be given to actors at a televised ceremony? Ham and cheese.
