It’s awards season, which means you’re going to be seeing the same 10 faces OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, walking the various red carpets in New York, London, and LA, the men in slightly varying tuxedos and the women in progressively more princess-y gowns. Get used to it. At Cipriani’s in New York last night for the National Board of Review Awards: Amanda and Anne continue their sartorial slugfest, Anne winning tonight’s round in a fabulous Saint Laurent tux. Which is not to say Amanda didn’t look gorgeous in her strappy, gladiatorial Bottega Veneta Spring 2013 dress, but really. She still seems sort of awkward and unaccustomed to these dresses, while Anne is to the manner born. Look at that regal presence. She OWNS that tux. Also there: Bradley Cooper and rising style star Eddie Redmayne, the always stunning Emily Blunt in a sexy cutout sheath by Emilio Pucci with her handsome hubby John Krasinski, Angela Basset, Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen, and John C Reilly. Jessica has the potential to really fall on her face, stylewise. She keeps trying to push the envelope of what a redhead can wear, and it gets exhausting. She looks fine here, but she’s walking a fine line with the whole ginger and gold thing. It could look cheap. What do you think? (Photos: Pacific Coast News)
